Wasn’t that a great movie? I’m still thinking about the latest “Mad Max”, and it’s been months since it came out. Of course the comic takes place in 2005, so neither Specialist Glass nor the Lieutenant have any idea where these visions are coming from. The guitar-playing guy on “Mad Max” was called “The Doof Warrior”, but troops have been riding into battle with music for ages. Way in the old days, live military bands would play music not only to improve morale, but it was a way to time maneuvers– battle was choreography, after a sorts: “when you hear this, go on the defense. When you hear this, attack”, and so on.

Nowadays we just charge into battle with head-thumping angry tunes playing– something to pump the adrenaline. Things like iPods are technically discouraged but guys would go out onto patrol with them anyway.

While today’s comic is again in black & white, the good news is I am optimistic (after a fashion)– the black & white versions I am loading are saved in such a manner that I can, eventually, go back and color them when I have time. If I had no plans to color them ever, I would be applying Computones to them for grey-effects and leaving them as is.
