A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing! From the story I mentioned in the previous comic, where the officers gathered around a freshly-dropped explosive without really thinking through their daring plan. I’m sure at least one or two of them had been through the “Buffalo” course, where soldiers doing route-clearance missions were taught about the Buffalo MRAP (Mine-Resistant/Ambush-Protected) vehicle and similar ways to identify and deal with various types of explosive hazards. Teach people a few basics and they think they know everything– every organization has “that guy”, but in these circumstances you don’t want to be near him when his odds eventually come up short.
