Always in motion, is the future– no one knows what is coming. But if there is one thing you can pretty much bank on, it’s that people will find a way to make a buck off of it. Imagine any piece of technology and then imagine how it can be used… combine other technologies and see think about how people will mix & match them to satisfy their desires… and you’ll have a pretty good handle on what the future holds.

Drone delivery has been talked about for some time. It is still far from perfect and in the developing stages, but it’s pretty much accepted that it will happen. Why wouldn’t soldiers in the field request fresh, hot pizza (or anything else) delivered to them direct by drone? And of course, why wouldn’t supplies like food, water, and ammunition not be delivered by military drones as well? The latest magazines or clean socks or treats from a spouse– anything would conceivably be deliverable.

I know why commanders would try to put the kibosh on it though– the enemy will be able to pinpoint positions easily by seeing where all the pizza drones are landing. Still, it will be fun while it lasts.
