Well, Alvarez is back from his escapade and doing a bit of urban warfare training, but he just has a different notion of what “secure/insecure” means. It’s a riff on an old joke, where for the Army or the Marines, “secure a building” means to set up barricades and sandbag or board over the windows and leave holes for firing weapons at anyone that approaches. In the Navy, “secure a building” means to turn off the lights and power everything down, then lock it on the way out. And to the Air Force, “secure a building” means putting a down payment on a lease with option to buy.
Just as a reminded, I have a lot of personal and military-related travel coming up soon, and so this is the second week that BOHICA Blues will post only on Mondays. Next week I will have another future, and I will probably be doing limited special comics and announcements through the end of July. One thing my readers know about me, though, is that when I go on brief hiatuses it is always short and I always come back with more material, so don’t worry– BOHICA Blues isn’t going away any time soon.
