Ah, my friend, *every* unit is “one of THOSE units”!

This is a case of being cursed with too much knowledge. A young Private showing up in a new unit, being told something like this, would just nod and go, “Okay”. But a Specialist has been around the block long enough to know just how awful it is to hear something like this when you just show up. That’s why “Specialist” is such a frustrating rank to have: you know enough to anticipate what’s coming, but have no power to mitigate any of it.
