I have been kinda looking forward to this one; I had it in mind after I introduced the “weak-willed officer” in the previous comics. I always thought those weird dancing air tube advertising things were kind of dumb, but they work I guess (otherwise they wouldn’t be so ubiquitous). They are the perfect form for the final thoughts on the Spineless Brigade Guy.

As to whether or not a Reserve soldier would be mobilized to fill a slot in an Active Duty unit, I honestly don’t know. Technically there’s no reason not to, and that’s why the Reserves are there, but in general we try to maintain integrity between Reserves, Guard, and Active Duty. So it is probably unlikely, but not impossible.
