You never fully get used to the heat there. Iraq, like the United States, starts getting hotter and hotter at this time of year. Each year you think “I’m acclimated now; this won’t seem as bad as last year”. But it still feels blisteringly hot, regardless, and that’s even before putting on our armor for anything.
It was one of the few times in my life when I was probably properly hydrated. I know I don’t drink the proper amount of water each day (a lot of people really don’t) but we didn’t need our arms twisted to drink water over there.
Besides, so few comics employ spontaneous human combustion these days.
