Captain Comics is a real comic book store in Boise, and it is just a couple blocks away (well, not exactly, but close enough for city reckoning). They have a cool upstairs loft full of old back issues… you could sift through them for hours if you’re not careful.
Sometimes it can sure seem like the women in comics are just guys dressed up in girl suits– if they bring nothing certifiably feminine to the mix, I suppose. Comics have had problems wrestling with stereotypes for years, but in that they’re no different from any other form of media entertainment. But things grow and change over time. Hopefully I’m not just building stereotypes myself with this comic, but it is better to try and fail than not to try at all.
