Yup, we all know him. They don’t just exist in the military; we all know someone from civilian jobs or school or whatever that just always seems to collect trouble. In the civilian world they can just be fired (unless there are… circumstances) but the military has them and they are going to squeeze everything they can out of them before discarding them.

Skeeves has been my “toxic that-guy character” for some time. He’s the one who is always being abrasive or toxic or hostile for the sake of making waves. We all have these people in our organizations and sometimes, if we think about them at all, we may ask, “Why are they they this way? Do they really get something out of this?” Who knows? Obviously they seem to think that they’re in the right, somehow.

But Skeeves has that special status that he has to confront so many complaints and sign so many counseling statements that he has his own revolving door at the S1 (Personnel) shop for rapid entry… and turnaround.
