September 2015: The “Buffalo” MRAP (Mine-Resistant/Ambush-Protected) vehicle– a giant rolling bomb-poking truck that would keep its occupants alive even if a bomb went off right next to it. It really did have a long, articulated mechanical arm with a multi-pronged fork at the end, to poke at bombs and see what happens.

“Poke it and see what happens”. Someone probably got a medal for that.
