I did this a long time ago as a doodle for my Patreon supporters and thought that it would make a good comic as well. Don’t worry, I’m not going to turn all of my “Scary Bigfoot Encounters” into individual comics, but there may be some potential in old doodles at various points in time.
I, myself, once got waylaid by a timeshare sales pitch once on accident; I wasted a day in Las Vegas listening to this on accident many, many years ago. Now I’m paranoid of any polite, well-dressed person approaching me with a piece of paper. To the point where I’m almost relieved when I see the “Latter-Day Saints” Nametag.
My Reserve unit in Boise used to go up to Idaho City for a Land Navigation course each year, usually in June. It was a pleasant time of year to go, and it was up in the mountains only about 30 miles from Boise. The air was clear and pleasant, the forest was relatively thick, and the scent of pine was in the air. It was pretty much the ideal place to be, in my opinion.
Is it considered traditional “Bigfoot Country?” I don’t know; depending on who you ask in the community of Bigfoot believers, the big guy can be found anywhere, or nowhere. Some purists believe he is completely limited to the Pacific Northwest; others say he ranges all the way to Florida and Maine. Personally, I think we would have found any such tribe of creatures by now, but who knows, people do still sometimes stumble across uncontacted tribes in remote places like the Amazon, so who knows?
Anyhow, this was my dark, scary forest encounter that will be published in the 20th of October, just in time for Halloween.
