Bet you never had a 4th of July like this, eh? No bull; this really happened. We had a barbecue, sodas, cigars, and then the E.O.D. teams (Explosives-Ordinance Disposal) rigged a bunch of the Iraqi Air Force bombs to explode. One of them (I’m told) was a napalm bomb. Don’t know if that was true or not, but there was one with a big, fiery explosion.

Here are some pictures of the event. I used artistic license and put the comic occurring at dusk; as you can see the actual explosions were late afternoon. I thought it would have been much more fun in the evening, so I changed it to reflect that. It was a fun respite from the duty day, and not a bad way to spend the 4th, under the circumstances.
